Every weekday, your Daily Poetry Break features a work from Steve Spanoudis' invaluable collection of poems, The Poets' Corner. Sometimes a poem is chosen because it is appropriate to the date; sometimes because someone requested it; but usually just because I have something to say about it. The selected poems are not necessarily "good", in the sense that critics have said nice things about them, but they are usually interesting and entertaining.
You won't find material that is under copyright here, except where organizations and educational institutions have secured permission for its publication. For the most part, that means that the newest poems will be at least 75 years old. Fortunately, they wear well.
If you want to comment on the selections or what I said about them, or if you want to suggest a poem for the Poetry Break, write me at bblair48@yahoo.com
(Readers who want to download the Daily Poetry Break to hand-held devices should probably access dailyframes.htm rather than the page you are looking at now.)
