Predicting the future is easy.
It's trying to figure out
what's going on now
that's hard

Can we predict or hope that people living in the future will be good - or at least better than they are today? Perhaps we can consider the following background information:

Various issues, including childhood rebellions, seem to bring each new generation to a lower and lower level. Rebellious children sometimes control the parents, so that the world's collective maturity seems to be reduced over the course of time.

Can we assume that children will demand a better world after they approach a nadir? Will they rebel against their parents' evil ways and try to be better?

In other words, will circumstances ever bottom? And if so, will we or our children be privileged to see that generation?
