Deal with conflict in the meetings by eliciting creative ideas from combatants.
When it gets too heated, you can take a break. Decide whether you want to meet with the two sides together without the other participants. When you return to the meeting, show that you are pleased with the progress so far, and try to move from the conflict to a situation in which both sides feel that they won.
Decide whether to use guidelines, Robert's Rules of Order, meeting precedent, or other ways of conducting the meeting and behaving in it.
