The 124th NYSV Sutler List

Frankly in the past few years the quality of many of the sutler products has declined in quality.  It has always been the creed of the 124th to look as good as possible.  We are not a hardcore unit, but we do stress that our members portray as an authentic appearance as possible.  The sutlers below have all been okayed by the 124th and are the ones from which the 124th will purchase their goods.

Accepted Sutlers of the 124th:

          -The Regimental Quartermaster

              www.regtqm.com

              (215) 672 6891

-The regimental quartermaster provides a large array of good quality reproductions.  They are beginning to cater to both the hardcore reenactor as well as the mainstream reenactor.  They are reasonably priced sutler and cater to all the needs of the mainstream reenactor.

            -C & D Jarnigan

              http://www.jarnaginco.com/catframe.html

              (662) 287-4977

-Jarnigan has always been a quality supplier of the 124th.  Expect to pay a bit more at Jarnigan and be ready for a wait.  They have a reputation for taking their time.  My advice to you is; if it’s not it stock then go somewhere else.  Their products are slightly better quality than those from the regimental quartermaster.

-Orchard Hill Sutlery

-The Jersey Skillet licker is a new addition to the sutler list of the 124th.  The skillet licker makes possibly the finest reproduction on the market today, which means that you are going to pay an extreme amount for his products, but it’s worth it.  If you are unsure about how long you are going to be in the hobby, than this sutler isn’t for you.  The skillet licker caters to the hardcore community.  If you would like to know more about him you can talk to Pvt. Ryan McIntyre

            -C.J. Daley

       www.cjdaley.com

Most of the sutlers above will provide you with a total kit.  This is not necessarily the wisest decision that one could make.  It is beneficial to you and to your impression to buy from multiple sutlers that specialize in specific goods.  Below you will find a buyer’s guide for the Uniforms and Equipage of the 124th.
