| Bylaws of the 124th New York; -The 124th has a Constitution and By-Laws which govern how the unit operates. To become a member, you must be at least 18 years old, in reasonably good physical condition, and must be sponsored by an existing member. Those not yet 18 may join with a parent (No persons under the age of 16 will be allowed to carry a rifle). The unit will vote to accept you on a one year probationary basis during which time you are expected to attend meetings and drills and purchase your uniform and weapon. Probationary members pay dues ($24 per year) as do all members, but they may not vote.. At the satisfactory completion of the probationary period, the membership will vote on a permanent membership. Each member is also required to pay a yearly fee, determined at the start of each reenacting season, for insurance. |

| Upon recieving this application, we will mail you our information packet. In that packet you will be notified on the next meeting date (meetings are held on the second tuesday of each month at the Orange County Farmers Museum in Montgomery NY) You are strongly encouraged to attend the meetings. It is here that you will get to meet the membership and start to get a taste of what the hobby is all about. You may attend your first meeting without filling out the above application. At the meetings get in contact with any of the following: Chuck LaRocca, Bob Morrow, Bob Slaughter, or Ryan McIntyre. They will help you get on the fast track to reenacting with the 124th NYSV. |
