8th Langley Fernridge Scout Group


Way down against the US border, 5 kilometers
from the Pacific Ocean, there is a Scout Group
named "8th Langley Fernridge ".
We came into being on November 1st, 1976.

Our home base is Glenwood Elementary School,
located on 208th Street at 24th Avenue.

8th Langley offers all 5 of the age based
Scouts Canada programs:
Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Venturers & Rovers.

Our group went co-ed in September of 95,
and we have been all the richer for it.

The sketch to the right is of the man who
founded Scouting: Lord Baden-Powell.
Today, 95 years later, we number 25 million,
still doing our best to build upon what this
man began.

Our programs include hiking & camping, field
trips, games, projects/crafts, songs, stories & campfires, emphasizing physical, mental,
spiritual & social development ...and FUN!
