Status of the site!
- May 5, 2003
I'm looking into buying
www.akuo.net and another site as well. I think I'm going
to create a Flash site (lately I've been given some Flash projects
so now I know at least a little bit of Flash) and a resume/portfolio
site. Sorry I haven't been updating much at all the last 2
years, but no one visits anyway, and there's not a lot I talk about
that isn't linked news. I hate to turn this into a blogger
type of page. But it may be just that while I learn php for
use as a message board and stuff. Just little things so I can
add to my vast array of knowledge. When I get the new page up,
this page will just link to it. For those of you on a high
speed connection (or patient with 56k) check this out. It's
not much, but it's a start.
http://www.resnet.ttu.edu/rljobsweb/rljobs.html Later!
Update: 11/8/03 Hahaha, ok so how about 6 months later I find
a really good deal on webhosting. So this page will eventually
be a redirect to
www.timothyhanson.com. For now it's broken, but expect
big new things! Little Ranting! -
October 21, 2002
Hello! I'm alive! But I refuse to make a full
update in the "Latest Headlines" part.
Mad Ranting! -
January 14, 2002
2002 already? Sheesh! Happy birthday Kristen!
So hey, if money is based on the trust in God, are atheists just
hypocrites for using it if it's based on something they don't
believe in? Secondly, if all life evolved from a single
organism, how is it possible that humans are the only ones to
develop such a complex language outside of instinctual
communications? Also notice that between all races, nodding
your head is the universal acknowledgement for yes and shaking it is
the the universal acknowledgement for no. Isn't that funny how
between all the races of humans and different languages we all still
agree on those two things? Kinda like we all used to have the
same language or something. Oh well. I'm done.
Nothing new to see on the site. Kenshin DVD14 delayed until
the 22nd I hear. GeForce4 next month. Warcraft III Beta
test to start at the end of the month.
An Update? - November 1,
2001
Well well, I thought you thought I was dead or something. I'm
not, I'm just lazy. For some quick reference about the site, I
found that Morpheus is a fairly decent alternative to Napster.
A bit clunkier and less reliable downloads, but it does the job, if
not I just switch over to Audiogalaxy. I should have the
revamped File Sharing section up sometime when I'm not so lazy. And
uh... Hmm... Release dates for the final 3 Kyoto Arc Kenshin
DVDs are as follows: DVD12 Bind Justice 11/6, DVD13 Innocence and
Experience 11/19 and DVD14 Fire Requiem 12/3. The dates are
kinda weird (as usual) so expect them to be out a week after the
said dates.
CD of the week: Red by Days of the New. Check out Dancing with
the Wind. Awesome track.
WindowsXP is awesome despite what all the other fools say.
Highly recommended, but if you snag a copy, get the Pro version.
Home version is kinda lame. Hmmm, not much other news goin on.
See you in 6 months!
Small Blurb - April 9,
2001
Alright, I'll shove a beta program I've been tinkering
with on the page. It's neat, it just copies a ton of files and
stuff. Handy for Napster/filesharing programs as you can move
all your stuff before it gets shared. Otherwise, nothing
new. Reformatted yet again. This time though, I imaged
my drive on 4 cd's. So recovery should be smooth from now
on. Checked out the Lifehouse/Everclear/Matchbox Twenty
concert yesterday. It was pretty good. I have Crutch
stuck in my head. Check it out. Also Duran Duran - Is
There Something I Should Know. Matchbox Twenty played All
Along the Watchtower as an encore as well ad Time After TIme.
It was pretty cool, but I didn't get a recording. Oh
well. Check the Quick Site Tweaks for any minor updates where
I don't feel like posting updates in the main news area. Takin
off again. Later folks.

- February 26, 2001
Hey, been busy working on a page for the school. Only a
few cool things in there, and they'll soon be assimilated into this
page. Snagged a copy of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon on DVD
and I must say, it's a breath-taking film. Must see. The
new Dave Matthews Band cd, Everyday, comes out tomorrow, go get your
copy. Otherwise, I probably won't update again until Spring
Break (before or after sometime).
*Update* Online Resources section now open. Provides
links to all major hardware vendors, their drivers page, support
page, and how to contact them.
Whew
- February 3, 2001
Where does time go? Already 2001 and already the second
month. Geesh. Anyway, tons of random news so here goes: Gaming
News
Blizzard is having a
month-long raffle with ubertastic prizes. Signups are here http://www.blizzard.com/register/blizzard/
and prizes being given away are listed here http://www.blizzard.com/blizz-anniversary/prizes.shtml
Starcraft
1.08 Patch coming very soon. Feature enhancement includes: In
game live recording (small file size), balance changes, server
choosing (similar to Diablo II).
Diablo II Expansion:
On track for a 1st Half 2001 release. All features are pretty
well locked, now it's time to balance and debug. Feature
enhancements include: Doubled stash size, roughly 200 (now anyway)
new affixes, one new act, new quests/quest rewards, Elite (Hell
Exceptional only) items as well as ethereal (limited use items)
items and charms (mods work as long as they are in your
inventory).
Warcraft III Reign of Chaos:
Only 4 playable races. Demons are now a storyline motivating
force. It seems they're done coding the engine and now are
focused on balance and (of course) debugging. The game is
still on track for an end of 2001 release.
Blizzard will be announcing
their unannounced project sometime this year. It's been
rumored to be "sooner than you think." Possibly at
E3 in May or similarly Blizzard has been on a trend of revealing new
games at ETCS which is held in September. Hopefully we can
pull for sooner rather than later.
Final Fantasy X has been delayed in Japan for release this
Summer. Release date here in the states remains approximately
November or so. It is rumored to come out in 2 versions:
Single DVD and Enhanced DVD both for Playstation 2. The
enhanced version will have an upgraded video for HDTV and
sound.
Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy IV (or 2 for SNES) will be released
stateside sometime in the 1st half of 2001 for the Playstation. The updated Chrono
Trigger will have animated FMV's added and the updated Final Fantasy
IV will have CG FMV's added.
Music News
Napster: Come
June/July Napster will be switching over to a pay service. On
that note, I may be tearing down the file share section or at the
very least updating it to reflect recent changes (especially since
scour probably won't be resurrected). I would recommend
hitting up www.download.com
and looking up a program called iMesh.
Sonique 2 is coming really
really soon. Everything you like gets enhanced and everything
you hate gets doubly enhanced. Similarly WinAmp
3 alpha is in circulation. I tried it for a bit and went
crawling back to Sonique.
Entertainment
Rurouni Kenshin is now slowly coming out on DVD. Highly
recommend purchase as well as the classic Transformers: The
Movie.
Season 2 of Survivor has begun!!
Web Page News
Working on new ideas for new sections. Currently in
progress is an MP3 encoding/decoding/ripping/burning guide. No
ETA yet. Also thinking about adding a gaming page for any of
you junkies who care to know what I do in my spare time.
Already worked out a nice Diablo II Quick Amazon guide here
or for download here
(downloadable version in Excel format).
Loaded the end of 2001 news over into the Old News section
Attempting to learn php or asp and move servers. Both are
scripting languages that automatically generate html code based on
user input. Kinda neat as all I'd need to do is input the raw
data and tell it where and it will update the page for me. If
it's easier to update, I'll probably update more often. Now
I'm sitting in the awful position of updating every single page for
a global update. Very much a pain. Hopefully I can
hammer some things out and move on out of here.
Goodbye
- December 10, 2000
Not to this site, but to several pieces of software that will
be sorely missed on my hard drive (lame, I know, but still).
Scour, for about a month now, is out. Supposedly someone will
buy them out and they will be back up in operations. That'll
be a very happy day for me. Alta Vista's free Internet service
is also shutting down. Riffage.com (not that it was a great
site) is out also. I hear a lot of dot com sites are going out
because they were just crappy ideas. They were, but man, free
stuff, even with those lame ads, were still good and useful.
I'll leave the how to use Scour on the file share page just because
I have hopes that one day I'll be able to reinstall it on my
machine. Speaking of, Aimster sucks a lot. I won't go
into detail, just know that I hate it. Well anyway, catch you
kids later. Catch me in a month for another update! =) P.S.
Check out these bands out: Lifehouse and BT
File
Sharing Section Open - October 22, 2000
Alright, finally threw up one of the new sections I promised you.
I introduce you to the File Sharing page. It gives a basic rundown
of the recent file sharing hysteria we all know and love. Watch
for more breakthroughs at the site. Later.
So
you know... - October 12, 2000
I haven't died, but I just wanted to let everyone know, I hate stupid
people. A lot.
P.S. - I do have plans to add more to the site, I still need to
get settled into my life a bit more. Sorry for the inconvienience.
Quick Update - August 30,
2000
Looks like I'm moving sooner than I thought I was. Nevertheless,
I still intend on adding several new sections to the webpage. Only
like 2-3 depending on if all goes well.
Hey - August
24, 2000
So I lied. Now I'm back. Been having a rough time moving from place
to place and getting settled. In fact, I'm probably going to move
again sometime soon so don't expect anything dramatic like I promised
earlier in July. I had Diablo II influencing me, but I'm mostly
over that now. Anyway, the final episode of Survivor was so terribly
disappointing. Man, I picked up on that in the last 4 or so episodes
and I was really gunning for Kelly, and wow was Susan a total jerk
tonight. It was almost funny. Then when you realize it's not really
scripted, you think, geez. That's some cold reality. I mean really,
it's just a game for one, and two, Gervase said it best when he
cast his vote. C'mon. Updated the links zip file in the download
section into a more user friendly folder archived zip file. No more
sorting. Anyway, I'm out again. Catch you folks on the flip side.
I'm Back!

July 18, 2000
After countless hours of Diablo II'ing and mindless reformatting,
I finally snagged the time to reinstall Dreamweaver and Photoshop
to resume work (slightly) on the page. X-Men is a good movie, a
don't miss for you X-Men newbies and an ok flick for you hardcore
X-Men psychos. No real new news. FYI: Level 35 Paladin open character
(no I'm not cheating, I just have serious issues with Battle.Net)
with some cool stuff. Maybe I'll upload some screenshots later.
For now, I have to reinstall some soundcard drivers and continue
packing. I'll be back soon with a nice update. Later!

March News
is up
March 1, 2000
Going to start moving old mainpage updates to a subsidiary link here
on a month to month basis starting with February. No ADSL so
no terribly new stuff until I get broadband and can upload stuff really
fast. I hear cable is coming soon (but I've always heard that
so that isn't new) and I guess I have to settle for that. I'll be
remodeling all the page logos later on this month (there goes my Spring
Break =P) for consistency sake (except the download page, that
one is just really cool to me for some bizarre reason).
February
News
January 26, 2000
- Finalized the webpage logo graphic. I was let loose on a cable
modem in Austin and I'm extremely jealous. On good days, I get
around 5-6k/second downloads. On the cable modem I witnessed 4MB/second
download speed!! I cleaned up the mess I made when my jaw hit
the ground and I drooled a river equal to the Rio Grande. Afterwards
I've been making mad phone calls wondering when Lubbock will get
it. Supposably 2 months. Supposably... If I ever get some high
speed access, I promise I'll do some wicked things to this webpage
(namely have a shorter address) so you guys have something to
come to everyday. But I'm still debating having some parts stay
or not. 4MB/second!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Holy lord!! Anyway, I snagged
a copy of Windows 2000 while in Austin (legit too!) so I pray
some Win2000 drivers pop up for my video card and modem or I'll
be using Win98 for now. Windows 2000 is amazing from what I've
played with. The cd... oh man, that cd looks awesome. Hologram
city! Anyway, back to the grind.
January 17, 2000
Looks like I'm back in the webpage mood. Always
hit when I've got nothing better to do. I'll be fiddling with
a new layout for the remainder of the year and possibly adding
new content. Been thinking about shelling out the cash to shorten
the url too, but some jerk of a company bought out the name
I wanted and is selling it. Not even using it, just waiting
to sell it. What a bunch of crap that is. Oh well. The world
is governed by money right?
October 26, 1999
Talk about a long time with no update on this page......
Anyhow. I've revamped all the pages now with spiffy hover
buttons and am mending up the links section. Also reorganizing
it later this week. For the old news that I haven't addressed,
I've added a lot of pictures, redesigned the site, made it monitor
friendly in 800x600 and saved an old lady from sure death.
The band thing didn't go through because they split up, but oh well.
ADSL around these parts blows (mostly because I can't have it) so
I'm going to hold over and wait for cable. See ya then!July
30, 1999 After some serious thought, I decided not to let my page
fall gracefully out of existence. I'm going for a more unified
look and thought instead of all the random thoughts. I'm working
on getting ADSL which will aid me in doing more regular updating.
Flash by the way is a hard beast to tame, so for now, don't expect
a Flash version of the site to be up anytime soon. I've also
been asked to design another site for a local band so I'll be dividing
my time between pages.
April 27, 1999
Fantastic news, I acquired a copy of Flash so I'm going to be redoing
the entire page. I've also gotten my hands on new webspace
so expect a shorter url address too. I've updated the download
and music page with some info basically and a new toy. The
overhaul is going to take a long long time while I learn how to
play in Flash so don't expect many more updates until then.
April 14, 1999
To my dismay, I can't encode real audio files anymore unless I
shell out 200+ dollars for the stupid encoder. Oh well, I'll
just try and get by with the songs I have. I added a few more
links, and put some emulators in the download section. It's
come to my attention that some of the files won't download so I'll
try and work on it (thanks Scott). I also have 2 jobs now
(Blockbuster Video and CompUSA) so I'm not able to spend all the
time I'd like to on the webpage anymore. A friend of mine
will be working on bits and pieces of it so watch for a new section
to open up.
February 12-15, 1999
Gonna start adding many new real audio songs (new tripod space
but don't tell geocities) and revamping overall look of things whilst
still trying to speed up the site. Also working on a guestbook.
February 3, 1999
Set up the ICQ panel and updated the links section by popular request
January 18,1999
Revamped the music page and am thinking up new design plans for
the rest of the page.
January 4, 1999
Happy New Year!!! Well, in an effort to minimize modem strain
on everyone, I've stripped the news section and put it on it's own
page. I'm sure no one will visit this page (no counter) so
it'll more or less serve as a diary of my page. I've updated
the links page and am working on a batch of new real audio files
for download
December 12, 1998
Reworked some of the pages, and finally uploaded a bit more of
it. Hopefully everything is working now but I am aware of
one small bug in the pages. It may take some time to go between
pages, so just be patient while I figure out why and I'll fix it
up for you guys.
October 21, 1998
Finally finished the title graphic and changed the name of the
page. Tell me what you think. Other than that, no real
news, but look for major changes to start heading this way.
Out of frustration, I've eradicated the guestbook. Oh well.
September 24, 1998
Slight tweak to the page, nothing major. Still working
on guestbook and title graphic.
July 26, 1998
After taking a HUGE vacation from everything and everyone, I'm
finally back. No real improvements have been made, but I'm
working on a new title graphic (yes an original one) and a total
overhaul for this page. Other than that, I've gotten 2 more
Dave Matthews Band cd's so check out my music page (please!) and
download the new song I put up. Some new links have mystically
appeared in my links section (how odd) so check those out too!
AND BUY STUFF OFF THE LINKS FROM MY PAGE! Oh, by the way my
guestbook is screwed up and I'm about to snap if I can't get it
to work.
June 17, 1998
Fixed some more broken links (I hope that's all of them) and added
the download page as well as updated the "me" page.
June 12, 1998
Added a guestbook and finally fixed all the broken links and stuff
that's been brought to my attention (thanks Jonathan). I think
I may have finally come up with a name for the page but lemme know
what you think anyway.
June 9,1998
All the links work now in the music section (added some more songs)
and I still as of yet haven't started up the Starcraft page nor
the downloads page out of sheer laziness. I'll get around
to it I promise.
June 6, 1998
Since geocites gave all their members 5 more megs of webspace,
I added more songs to the music page (3) and will open up a Starcraft
and nifty download page sometime this weekend (hopefully).
May 31, 1998
Added a few links to the links section (where else would I add
them?) and a few more pics in the section dedicated to me
