I am
49 yrs old, blonde hair and green eyes. As you can tell, I am from that
wonderful
land
downunder, called Australia, but at the present time I am residing here
in beautiful
New Zealand with my husband Cliff. I have 2 sons, Shane 30 and Lee 21,
and
my step daughter Breezze 21. Both my sons are now fathers.
Shane
has a {2yr old) daughter Sheridan in Switzerland, Lee has 2 sons Patariki
(2 yrs 4mths)
and
Tane (5mths) My stepdaughter Breezze is mummy to Karamia, a
3 yr old daughter.
I am
a very happy grandmother :o)
THINGS
I LIKE TO DO
I love
to read and I like listening to my music........ Van Morrison,
Tony
Joe White, Billy Idol, Eric Clapton, Talking Heads, Jimmy Barnes to name
a few.
I really enjoy going to the thermal hot pools here in NZ in winter (too
hot in summer)
I like
to watch good movies.
I find
now, that most of my spare time is on the computer playing with my graphic
progs :o)
I was
born in Queenstown
(west coast) Tasmania The apple
Isle of Australia.
Tasmania
is situated at the bottom of Australia and tends to be forgotten and
left
off some maps. My first 17 yrs I lived North, South, East and West.
My father
was a miner for my first 10 yrs of life, so we lived in a few
rugged
towns. Usually small isolated towns in the bush with one
school
and a general store. At age 10 I moved to the city of
Launceston
where I lived till I was 17.
Tasmania
I next,
at 17yrs old ventured on to Sydney
(mainland Australia) home to
the
Sydney 2000 Olympics where I lived at Bondi Beach for the next 28 years.
Bondi
Beach
has very happy memories for me. There is nothing quite like living 5 minutes
from
the beach and being able to go there at the drop of a hat. Both my
sons were
members
of the Bondi
surf life saving Club when they were young and were called
" nippers"
We spent most days in summer on the beach, and even in winter it is a
great
place for walks, and watching the surf, while lost in your thoughts. While
we
lived
at Bondi Beach, my husband was a member of a club called the
Bondi
Icebergs Club. On
opening day, before the swimmers enter the water, about
a ton
of ice is dropped into the pool, and all members jump in amongst it. This
is
in winter, not summer <grin> My husb wanted me to become a mermaid
<bigger grin> No
Way!!!
My sons also played Rugby League for many years. I have so many
trophies
to dust and polish :o)

1997
my husband a New Zealand Maori
wanted to move back here to
AucklandNew
Zealand
My husband
had been away from New Zealand for 15 years and wanted to
come
back to be with his family. What a big move that was for me. I cried for
weeks
at the thought of leaving my beloved Australia. After a while I started
to
warm
to the idea and was getting quite excited at the thought of seeing
and
exploring beautiful NZ. It is a very beautiful country, with rolling green
hills
everywhere. I have settled in quite well, as it is very similar here to
Tasmania,
where
I grew up, except for the culture. It looks like we are here to stay,
and
as much as I like it here (when I`m not having bouts of homesickness)
I will
always call Australia home.
