You can never go home again

Upon their arrival in Transia, Wanda was abducted by the magician Modred. He was the agent of the demon Chton. Eons ago, Chton had crafted the evil tome the Darkhold. Though he had been banished to a nether plane, he used the book to anchor him to earth. During one such return, he imbued the newborn Wanda with latent magical potential. Only after the Scarlet Witch sought tutelage in sorcery under Agatha Harkness did Chton's presence within her grow. Though he did possess the Scarlet Witch, the Avengers came to her aid, ultimately freeing her, but at the cost of Django's life.

Returning to America, Vision and Wanda moved to Leonia, New Jersey to attempt to live a normal life. However, danger followed them even to the suburbs and the Vision was injured. To repair the damage, the couple travelled to the home of Pietro and his in-laws, the Inhumans, an advanced race of super-beings. While there, Magneto interrupted and revealed that he was Wanda and Pietro's father.

Later, when most of the Avengers disappeared during the so-called Secret Wars, the Vision became chairman and temporarily attempted to takeover the world in order to bring about planet-wide utopia. Destroying a crystal that had allowed an alien computer to control him, he resigned and the couple left the Avengers.
