After his family "died" in the Onslaught battle, Franklin Richards suppressed his sorrow. Eventually, his incredible mutant powers began to force him to deal with the pain of his loss. To try and avoid it, he created many alternate realities that he and his friends travelled through. All were loosely based on his own experiences including Nevernever-narniozbia, a combination of several fairytale-type worlds. During their arrival, they accidentally killed the Red Witch of the SouthEast (ala The Wizard of Oz). Of course, her sister, the Red Witch of the SouthWest helped to capture them.
