When Magda learned of her husband's strange magnetic powers, she fled out of fear from the madness they had caused him. She sought shelter at Wundagore and was received by Bova. After some time in the animal-woman's care, she gave birth to twins, Wanda and Pietro. After naming the children, she left the comfort of the High Evolutionary's citadel, fleeing into the snow. Still fearful of her husband learning of their children, she ended her life to keep the truth a secret.
