Simon Williams is a being of pure ionic energy. When he was assumed dead, his brain wave patterns were used as the basis for the Vision's mind. After his "resurrection" the two considered themselves brothers. However, because they were essentially thinking the same things, Simon fell in love with Wanda, but kept it to himself to spare a possible break up of the Scarlet Witch's marriage. Though he died once again in battle against he alien Kree, his love for Wanda allowed him to return to save the Avengers from Morgan Le Fey.
