Best Destiny This book was written by Diane Carey and is about James Kirk as a 16 year old boy on his first adventure in space with his father, George Kirk, which gives him his first look at a Starship called the U.S.S. Enterprise. As James T. Kirk prepares to retire from a long and illustrous Starfleet career, events in a distant part of the Federation draw him back to a part of the galaxy he had last visited as a young man. A mysterious world called Faramond whose name takes Kirk on a journey back to his youth.
Shadows On The Sun This is one of several books written by Michael Jan Friedman. As a young doctor with a beautiful family and a promising medical career, Dr. McCoy thought he had it all. But when the woman he loved betrayed him, McCoy fled to Starfleet hoping to lose his pain in the depths of space. Now more than 40 years later, the U.S.S. Enterprise and her crew are ordered to transport a group of mediators to the planet Ssan, a world where assassination is a long, time-honored tradition.
Sarek This book was written by A.C. Crispin and is about Sarek's life. If you know and anything about Sarek of Vulcan and have not read this book, I highly recommend it. It is one of the best Star Trek books I have read. This novel begins after the events of Star Trek VI; The Undiscovered Country. Spock's mother, Amanda Grayson, is dying and Spock returns to the planet Vulcan where he and Sarek enjoy a rare moment of rapporchement. But just as his wife's illness grows worse, duty calls Sarek away. Once again sowing the seeds of conflict between father and son. Yet soon Sarek and Spock must put aside their differences and work together to foil a far-reaching plot to destroy the Federation. A plot that Sarek has seen in the making for nearly his entire career.
Dark Mirror This is a Next Generation novel written by Diane Duane where Picard and his crew find themselves in the same prediciment that Kirk and his crew had faced one hundred years before. Four members including Kirk cross the dimensional barrier and found a mirror image of their own universe, populated by nightmare duplicates of the shipmates. Barely able to escape with their lives, they return thankful that the accident that brought them there could not be duplicated. Or so they thought.
Probe This novel, written by Margaret Wander Bonanno is a sequal to the fouth Star Trek movie "The Voyage Home". Winds of change are sweeping the galaxy. The Romulan Praetor is dead, and with his passing, the Empire he ruled is in chaos. Now on a small planet in the heart of the Neutral Zone, representatives of the United Federation of Planets and the Empire have gathered to discuss initiating a era of true peace...but the talks are disrupted by a sudden defection and as accusations of betrayal and treachery swirl around the conference table, news of the probe's reappearance in Romulan space arrives. And the Enterprise crew find themselves headed for a final confrontation with not only the probe but the Romulan Empire.
Reunion This Next Generation novel, written by Michael Jan Friedman, reunites Captain Picard with some of his crew from the Stargazer. Together, Picard, Riker, Data, and the rest of the crew team up with the former crew of the Stargazer to solve a mystery before a ruthelss assassin unleashes revenge on the entire galaxy.
The Devil's Heart A Next Generation novel written by Carmen Carter. An isolated archeoligical outpost has stopped responding to requests for information so the Federation sends the Enterprise to find out why. The crew find a devestated oputpost and a dying scientist who's last words are, "The Devil's Heart has been found." To some the mysterious artifact is a tailsman, others think it to be a lost artifact of some long gone race. Some say it gives the person in possession of it the ability to control minds.
The Return An original Star Trek novel written by William Shatner. This novel takes place right after the Star Trek:Generations movie. The U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-D lies in ruins on the surface of Veridian III and one of the galaxy's greatest heros rests beneath a pile of rocks on a hillside. The Borg and the Romulan Empire have joined forces against the Federation, and their weapon is James T. Kirk, resurrected by alien science to destroy Jean-Luc Picard. Old friends are reunited and secrets revealed.
Final Frontier An original Star Trek novel written by Diane Carey. Capable of reaching warp speeds, the Empress, commanded by Robert April, with George Kirk as her first Officer, was the only ship with any chance of rescuing the colonists aboard the S.S. Rosenberg in time. A peaceful rescue mission turns into a desperate military maneuver.
Crossover A Next Generation novel by Michael Jan Friedman. Continuing his mission to unify Romulans and Vulcans, Ambassador Spock and his students are taken hostage by a Romulan spy disguised as a unification sympathizer. Afraid that Spocks Federation security knowledge will fall into enemy hands, Starfleet sends picard and his crew to rescue the hostages.
Federation An original Star Trek novel by Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens. James Kirk and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 are sent to rescue the creator of warp propulsion, Zefram Cochran from captor who want to use his skills to conquer the galaxy. 99 years in the future, Captain Picard and the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D must rescue an important person who's safety is vital to survival of the Federation.
