Babylon 5 is a five-year saga of a space station and the galaxy of the late twenty-third century. It began with the pilot movie, The Gathering, which aired on NBC in 1993. The series has since survived life in syndication with threats of cancellation having loomed at the end of each season. Fortunately, a strong fan following developed for the program, and their devotion as well as the determination of the producers, cast, and crew have kept Babylon 5 from fading away.
