This spell is for the lazy mages that would rather wave their hand than turn a door knob. This spell will not unlock doors, just open simple doors. If the door is complex, the spell will not work (or you can make the target number really high). The door does not fly open. It opens as if pushed open by a gentle breeze. Standard doors are wooden or plastic.
This enables the caster to repair small tears in his/her clothing. This does not repair armor or even zippers. It will fix a small tear in a piece of cloth as it the person sewed it back together. If a substantial part of the cloth was missing, it will still be as if the person just sewed the two open parts together. This cantrip would work to fix a small hole in a tent or possibly even a hole in a floatation device.
By dipping their finger into a drink or liquid, the caster can heat-up their soykaf, or cool off their iced-tea. The liquid can not be made to freeze, nor can it be heated to boil.
Ever get that itch you just couldn't reach? Well, now with the use of this cantrip, a simple scratch anywhere is possible. The caster may only use this spell on himself.
This spell is for those mages that just don't wish to dirty their hands knocking on someones door. This cantrip will cause a small audiable knock on a door, or similar surface. The caster must be within five feet of the surface. The knock cannot be used to knock over something, such as casting this spell on a glass of water. It simply would not function. Similiarly, if it were cast upon a brick wall. There would be no audiable knock.
By casting this spell, the mage causes either of his index fingers to radiate a very soft light. This glow will radiate enough light to barely read text if the finger is placed above it. It is useful for finding keys in the dark and even trying to read short lines with.
A mage can cast this on any object that could normally cause a squeaking noise, such as a door or window. Once cast the spell will function for up to four hours. Whenever the object is used it will give off a squeaking noise. This is a good cantrip to use for security when you just can't lock a door behind you, or a good cantrip to cast on someone you just want to irritate. Normal methods to correct the squeakiness will not work, so put away the oil cans.
This is one of those mystifying trick spells. The caster can control the deck of cards anyway he sees fit. He has absolute control of the deck, so he will be able to always guess the right card, or put the deck in any order he wishes. He must have physical possession of the deck of cards to do it, although if a card is missing, he will know which one by holding the deck. This is great for winning on poker night too, just don't get caught.
This cantrip comes in handy when you are trying to find something on your person. With a simple cantrip, you can simply put your hand into your pocket and whatever you wanted finds it's way to your hand. This works with small objects, not firearms. You would be able to reach into a grocery bag and without looking pull out the box of cookies. This will not locate an object in a large area, or find the needle in the proverbial haystack......but it will find the lipstick in your purse.
This spell enables the caster to tie a simple bow knot. For instance,
he could ties his shoes with a wave of a hand, or tie the ribbon on a birthday
present. The mage could use this to tie up a hostage, but the
knot is simple and would easily come apart.
