When our friends from Australia, Betty and Larry came down to India for a holiday, they stayed at one of the most prestigious Club's in Bangalore, and you will find Betty in some of the photos below. Larry went to catch up with old friends. 'The Bangalore Club' or generally refered to as 'Bus Club'. The Club is located next to Bishop Cotton's Boys' School on Residency Road, and has a side entrance on Lavelle Road. As you enter you enter from Residency Road through the main gates, you are greeted with the sight of beautiful tall trees and a curved path that takes you to a colonial era building on your right. On your left you would find the Dance Hall that has a spring wooden floor ( perhaps the only other club with a wooden dance floor is the Bowring Institute ) with priceless chandeliers. A swimming pool and a lawn are on either side of the Hall, and a quiet reception area for weddings is located at the rear of the Hall. The history of the club with it's military and colonial links will be put up shortly after compiling the same.
