December 28 and 29, 1862. In the marches in and around and below Vicksburg, to Warrenton,
Hankinson's Ferry and Big Black River, thence to Baker's Creek, Miss., where it engaged
the enemy May 16, 1863 It marched from Baker's Creek to Vicksburg, arriving May 18, 1863.
Remained during the siege. Surrendered July 4, 1863, was paroled and left for Mobile, Ala.
July 12, 1863, and was sent home July 23, 1863. Reported to the parole camp at Decatur.
