In April 1865, this regiment was consolidated with several others, (of which some
companies of the 34th and 56th Regiment Ga. Vol. Inf. formed a part) and formed the New
42nd Regiment Ga. Vol. Inf., of which there are no rolls on file, and surrendered at
Greensboro, N. C. April 26, 1865 .
