Rap Lin Rie is the nickname I have given to Dutton World Speedwords. Dutton World Speedwords was intended to be a shorthand system that could also be used as an international language. And, it turns out that it is the perfect email shorthand system for the 21st Century.

This series of quotes is taken from Dutton's books on Dutton Speedwords. They were published in 1943 through 1946. A later book, now out of print was published in 1951, 1971.We hope you enjoy the quotes, and hope they help you see the vision he had, also. Please note: In order to help you begin reading Rap Lin Rie, in these quotes we will insert speedwords, as usual, in the text. However, only the words that apply to the 26 letters of the alphabet will be used.
