EMBASSY PUBLICATIONS

This book offers the first and only translation of the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures that the whole world can read without additional translations.

THE POINT: Anyone, in any language who learns and uses Rap Lin Rie/ Dutton World Speedwords can read this, and all our other books. It takes less than 20-30 hours to learn Speedwords. In fact, one can begin using it instantly. Once a book is translated into Speedwords, no other translation needs be made.

AN OVERVIEW OF

THE COMPLETE SYSTEM

(1) The full Speedwords vocabulary is based on the remarkably small original material of only 493 short Key-words. The majority of these are simple roots common to a number of languages and are therefore easy to learn at the very outset. For instance, aut- "authority"-is found in nearly every European language, and similarly with el- 'electricity', fot- 'photograph', etc.

A small number of words such as 'of', 'with', etc., occurring with great frequency in all languages, are denoted in Rap Lin Rie Speedwords by single letters which are readily recognizable, 'of', for example, being represented by d (cf. French, Spanish and Portuguese 'de') and 'with' by m (suggested by German 'mit', Dutch 'met', Scandinavian 'med', Greek 'me', etc.) and so on with the remainder of such words, which in Speedwords are called "particles." The pronunciation rules will be found in the Text-book Companion.

(2) The 493 original key-words give rise to large numbers of fresh words by the addition of single-letter affixes. These affixes, which are 23 in number, are creative inasmuch as they produce entirely different Rap Lin Rie words and not merely grammatical variations of the original. Thus, the favorable suffix -u added to the key-word haz- 'chance' - makes hazu denoting 'fortunate', while the collective suffix -c added to the key-word ci- 'decide' - produces the Speedword derivative cic meaning 'committee.'

(3) In addition to the ideas expressed by key-words and their derivatives, a large range of further ideas is produced by combining two different key-words, or key-words plus derivatives, to form new Speedwords. This principle of juxtaposition, which is such a marked characteristic of Chinese word formation, is employed extensively and systematically in Rap Lin Rie, and gives rise to such self-evident compounds as ca.dor - 'bedroom', de.be- 'day.before' -i.e. 'yesterday', etc. (Note: In actual practice these and similar compounds are written cador, debe, without the period.)

(4) Unnecessary grammatical distinctions are eliminated, so that, for example, the word 'cold' is represented, as in English, by the same Speedword whether it is used as a noun or an adjective, and the word 'praise' is represented by the same Speedword whether it is used as a noun or a verb: similarly with other ideas which may function as different parts of speech.

(5) In International correspondence between Rap Lin Rie writers, one idea is always denoted by one and the same Speedword. There are no alternative choices as there are in English, in which, for example, the same idea may be expressed by any of the three words 'class', 'kind' and 'sort'.

(6) Rap Lin Rie is unique in three more ways. First, it is a personal shorthand system. Thus, it can be used by the student, secretary, business person or government official. Second, it is a method of inter-national communication without learning a foreign language. And, Third, it can be used immediately as an international email language. Soon, Rap Lin Rie will become one of the most useful email tools ever.

Surprisingly, with the above methods of combining root words, and adding the 20+ affixes, it is possible to express over 97 MILLION ideas without memorizing more than the 493 root words, and the 23 affixes!

Now begins the book of Hebrew Scriptures. We hope all who read this work enjoy it. Other books besides the Bible will be translated as time goes on. Please be aware that this is a work in progress. New verses and chapters will be added on a continuing basis. Enjoy. Bob Petry, C.L.

NOTICE: Below we are adding the first, second and third letters of John. They are shorter and it will be faster to get them on this page. Once that is done John's Evangel and his book of Revelation will be added. When that is done, his works will be printed in book form for those who wish a hardcopy. For information on this project please email me at Ambassador@sisna.com. Enjoy.
