My business began as a hobby that I dearly loved.
It grew to the extent of owning a kiln, a pour table and over 250 molds!
The clay art forms have their humble beginnings in a 50 lb. bag of dry clay. This clay was mixed with chemicals and water in the pour table which created a gray creamy mixture called "slip".
A mold is filled with "slip" and a few hours later it has set up enough to allow me to open the mold and remove the casting. This fragile piece is called "greenware".  Special tools are used to clean and smooth the seam lines where the mold pieces come together.  After firing in the kiln, the piece is called "bisque" and is ready to be finished using various techniques and mediums.
With loving attention to minute detail, each clay art form was hand painted.
This ceramics business (which combined home crafts and flower arrangements), is now closed.
