The gazebo sits high on the hill, overlooking a low mountain range.
It is where I go to renew my spirit in prayer and meditation.
Prayer is talking to God.  Meditation is listening to God.

Up on the top of the hill I planted an assortment of deciduous and evergreen trees and shrubs.

Coyote Brush and Pine trees.

Pampas Grass plumes.

An old fashioned English Country Garden.

I began mixing flowers and vegetables together
long before I knew it had a name.

I think of the trees and how simply they let go, let fall the riches of a season,
how without grief they can let go and go deep into their roots for renewal and sleep.
