Endorphin Bath & Todd E. Jones presents...
A Second Of Hope
You're entire presence engulfs me
As you turned the tables
My lips reached for yours
Because you spoke of no fables
Only the truth passed through those full lips
As you told me you liked women with curvy hips
At first, I was uninterested but the spell was cast
Seeing through the vanity and into the substance
I broke hearts of hard men
To where they could not function
Everything changed after our introduction
I want your hands on my body
Around my chest
As I feel your breath with every word you speak
The first to turn away but be there when I need you
Where every cloud has rain
Which will drip & bleed through
A surprise in your brown eyes
Made me realize
You are the last real man that's worth a woman's heart
Though I always knew
You loved someone else from the start
Still
Within the rotation of the earth and the start of the day
Every time I feel you
There's an invisible ray
When the stress of the routine and hardships of life
Gnaw at my heels
I only want you here
To smell your scent on my clothes and pillow
Feel your soft skin
Maybe, kiss your soft lips once again
Though you may not be aware
I'm sure you do care
That you have a magical power
To pull me through a long hour
You give me just a second of hope
Where I can cope
Every time
I hear your voice
See your face
Or feel your presence
In any place
This second of hope
Will lead me through the blood and war
Since you're the last man with an emotion that is pure
Though through the long hour
I may curse my own worth
In the one second of hope
I begin my rebirth
