"Worldwide" starts the album off with no B.S. "Rock the world! Say Rock the world! If not, mutha Ruck the world! Say mutha Ruck the world!" Only Rock and Ruck could get away with this! Especially, since it is one of those call-back choruses which could rock a crowd. Method Man represents hard with "Gunz 'N OneZ (Iz U Wit Me)" which is another hardcore track. My two favorite tracks are "I Ain't Havin That" and "Magnum Force". The first is hip-hop anthem which uses Redman's "Pick It Up". This is pure hardcore hip hip: "Have a tic-tac, your breath smells like ass crack. F*ck that! I ain't havin that!" They use Tribe Called Quest's beat from "Hot Sex On A Platter". Along with Starange from OGC and Doc Holiday, this first single is amazing! It should be a huge hit if the right DJs play it. The title track, "Magnum Force" is another anthem for MFC where a woman sings the chorus. But don't get me wrong... This is NOT an R&B / Rap track! The woman is joined by Big Rock. The vocals sound smooth but also quite menacing and spooky. The chorus is hardcore too: "This goes out to my Magnum Force, when I lay a n*gga out, they come and drag em' off. May the force be with you, if not I fall, for life... fuck all y'all" The other great tracks include "Forget Me Knots" which is all about their hardcore brothers and sisters, "Gang's All Here" which is a nine minute long song that finishes off the album. It features the entire Boot Camp Click.
The rest of the songs are good but just not as good as the previous mentioned songs but still dope.."Chicka Woo" is an R&B / Rap track with one of those smoothed out chorus but Ruck's lyrics are extremely hard and raw. The song would be perfect if it weren't for the R&B singer! "Hold Your Head Up" is another song with an R&B singer... It's a self-explanatory song... good sentiments but nothing amazing. "Brownsville II Long Beach" features The Dogg Pound and has a pretty cool southern beat (the weakest on the entire album) that reminds me of a weaker "Y'all N*ggas Ain't Ready" by Def Squad. It was produced by Daz Dillinger. This song made me a bigger fan of The Dogg Pound. It grew on me and it's dope. In my opinion, Rock and Ruck steal the show from Kurrupt and Daz. "Black Fonzirelliz" is about picking up girls and asks the question: "Why do good girls like thugs?". It's pretty cool. "Call OF The Wild", "Perfect Jab", "MFC Laws" are all cool too. It's dope Hardcore hip-hop!
The skits are funny.. There is not too much BS. The "2 Keys" skits kind of pokes fun of the drug dealing life style... "He beat me for two keys, God!", Ruck exclaims... They go and get the guy who beat him and eventually, we hear Ruck picking up two keys.... the kind you would use for a house or a car.. "Do The Knowledge" is a skit which compares the black penis to a Snikers Bar...
Overall, this is a dope album. I
think it's one of the hottest albums of the year. It's strong to be underground
but still has some radio-freindly appeal (with the right bleeps and pauses
over the curses). The beats are pounding! There's not one wack beat in
the entire album and not one emcee on the record has a weak flow. What
more can you ask for? Maybe it would be cool if Buckshot and/or The Cocoa
Brovaz were one some more of the tracks instead of just one. Hey, I must
give Ruck and Rock their props! This album inspired me to buy their debut
album "Nocturnal". They're back and they make The Boot Camp Click look
and sound D-O-P-E! Heltah Skeltah is ready to rock the world and
they will... If not, they'll Ruck the world.

*Limited edition CDs have an bonus CD. The first song "Warzone" by Buckshot,
5ft, & Evil D, who are the original Black Moon, is an amazing song!
The beat is so damn' cool and the special lazer sound effects sound dope!
Rock from Heltah Skeltah does the chours which is really cool as well.
Buckshot and Rock steal the whole song from 5ft. The rest of the songs
are just snippits. They play until the chorus and then fade out. OGC has
a song with Rock doing the chorus and so does IllaNoyz. Cocoa Brovaz and
M.O.P. do a dope version of "Bucktown". Overall, the bonus CD is dope and
it is hosted by Buckshot. There is not one wack song on the whole bonus
CD... it really does leave you thirsty for more music from DuckDown.
