Pics 1-4: The Kaaba (House of Allah) located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, built by Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Prophet Ismaeel. Peace Be Upon Them.

Pic 5: Close-up of the doors of the Kaaba; they are made out of solid gold.

Pic 6: This gateway, designed as a Qur'an holder, stands over the main highway connecting Jeddah to Mecca.

Pics 7-8: The Dome of the Rock located in Jerusalem. This is where Prophet Muhammd PBUH ascended to Heaven. FYI, this is when the command for the 5 daily prayer was given.

Pics 9-10: This is Masjid Al-Nabawi, aka The Prophet's Mosque located in Medina. Here lies the graves of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH and his companions, Umar (RA) and Abu Bakr (RA) beside him.

Pics 11-12: The Taj Mahal, or the "Crown Palace" situated in India, was built by Shah Jahan, a Mughal leader, for his wife, Queen Mumtaz Mahal.

Pic 13: Situated in Istanbul, Turkey, The Hagia Sophia (Aya Sophia) was converted from a church into a masjid (mosque) when Sultan Muhammad Al-Fatih conquered Constantanople. The Aya Sophia has become the symbol of Turkey. It is currently a museum.

Pic 14: This is a scanned postcard from a family member who went to Turkey. On the upper right corner is the "Blue Mosque" or Suleyman Mosque. It is sometimes called "blue" because of the color of the interior. On the bottom left corner is the Hagia Sophia.

Pic 15: This is the interior of the Blue Mosque, built in the 16th century, it is decorated with blue tiles.
