Prayers and Their Significance Say: 'Our life takes its) hue from God! And who could give a better hue (to life) than God, if we but truly worship Him?' (2:138). Remember Me, then, and I will remember you. Give thanks to Me and never deny Me. (2:152) When my servants question you about Me, tell them that I am near. I answer the prayer of the suppliant when he calls to Me; therefore, let them answer My call and put their trust in Me, that they may be rightly guided. (2:186) And when you have fulfilled your sacred duties (of pilgrimage), remember Allah as you remember your forefathers or with deeper reverence. There are some who say: 'Lord, give us good in this world.' These shall have no share in the Hereafter. But there are others who say: 'Lord, give us what is good both in this world and in the next and keep us from the fire of Hell.' These shall have a share of what they have earned, swift is the reckoning of Allah. (2:200-202) Never did the Christ feel to proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance (should know that on Judgement Day) He will gather them all unto Himself. (4:172). Allah will reward those that have faith and do good works; He will enrich them from His own abundance. As for those who are scornful and proud, He will sternly punish them, and they shall find none besides Allah to protect or help them. (4:173). If a suggestion from Satan assail your (mind), seek refuge with God, for He hears and knows (all things). (7:200). And bethink yourself of your Sustainer humbly and with awe, and without raising your voice, at morning and at evening; and do not allow yourself to be heedless. (7:205). O believers, when you meet their army, stand firm and pray fervently to Allah, so that you may triumph. (8:45). Verily your Lord is God, Who created the heavens and the earth in Six Days, and is firmly established on the Throne (of authority), regulating and governing all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His leave (has been obtained); Him therefore serve you; will you not receive admonitions (10:3). Therefore stand firm (on the straight path) as you are commanded, you and those who with you turn (unto God); and transgress not (from the Path): for He sees well all that you do. And incline not to those who do wrong, or the Fire will seize you; and you have no protectors other than God, nor shall you be helped.
(11:112-113). Allah alone has knowledge of what is unseen in the heavens and in the earth; to Him everything shall be referred. Serve Him, and put your trust in Him. Your Lord is watching over all your actions. (11:123). The unbelievers say: 'Why is not a Sign sent down to him from his Lord?'Say: 'Truly God leaves, to stray, whom He will; But He guides to Himself those who turn to Him in penitence. Those who believe and whose hearts find satisfaction in the remembrance of God: for without doubt in the remembrance of God do hearts find satisfaction. For those who believe and work righteousness, is (every) blessedness, and a beautiful place of (final) return. (13:27-29). Those whom We have given the Book rejoice at what has been revealed unto you: but there are among the clans those who reject a part thereof. Say: 'I am commanded to worship God, and not to join partners with Him. Unto him do I call, and unto Him is my return'. (13:36). We have given you the seven oft-repeated verses and the glorious Qur'an. Do not regard with envy the good things We have bestowed on certain groups of them, nor grieve on their account. Show kindness to the faithful. And say: 'I am the plain warner'. (15:87-89) We do indeed know how your heart is distressed at what they say. But celebrate the praises of your Lord, and be of those who prostrate themselves in adoration. And serve your Lord until there comes unto you the Hour that is Certain. (15:97-99). For, whatever good thing comes to you, comes from God; and whenever harm befalls you, it is unto Him that you cry for help. Yet as soon as He his removed the harm from you, some of you set up other gods besides Him giving no thanks for what We grant them. Enjoy, then, your (brief) life: but in time you will come to know (the truth)! (16:53-55). Say: 'Praise be to God, Who begets no son, and has no partner in (His) dominion: nor (needs) He any to protect Him from humiliation: You magnify Him for His Greatness and Glory!' 17:111. He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. Worship Him then and be patient in His service. Do you know any whose name is worthy to be mentioned side by side with His? (19:65). But when he came to the fire, a voice was heard: 'O Moses! 'Verily I am your Lord! Therefore (in My presence) put off your shoes: you are in the sacred valley of Tuwa. I have chosen you: Listen to what shall be revealed. Verily, I am God: There is no god but I: So serve you Me (only), and establish regular prayer for celebrating My praise." (20:11-14). He said: 'Get you down, both of you, -all together, from the Garden, with enmity one to another: but if, as is sure, there comes to you Guidance from Me, whosoever follows My guidance, will not lose his way, nor fall into misery. But whosoever turns away from My Message, verily for him is a life narrowed down, and We shall raise him up blind on the Day of Judgement.' (20:123-124). Not an Apostle did We send before you without this revelation sent by Us to him: that there is no god but I; therefore worship and serve Me. (21:25)
Verily, this Brotherhood of yours is a single brotherhood, and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore serve Me (and no other) (21:92). And put your trust in Him Who lives and dies not; and celebrate His praise; and enough is He to be acquainted with the faults of His servants. (25:58)
