London- British Prime Minister Tony Blair was quoted on Wednesday as saying he owned two copies of the Quran and had drawn inspiration from reading the divine book.
Blair, a church-going Christian, praised Islam as a "deeply reflective, peaceful, very beautiful religious faith," the BBC reported.
It said he made the remarks in an interview due to be published in a British Muslim newspaper on March 31.
"If you read the Quran, it is so clear...the concept of love and fellowship as the guiding spirits of humanity," Blair said.
