1. Allah has taught His Servants this Surah Al-Fatihah so that they may present it as a Supplication before their Lord.

2. The word Rabb is used to express three meanings: 1) Master and Owner, 2) Sustainer, Provider and Guardian, and 3) Sovereign, Ruler, Administrator and Oranizer. Allah is the Lord of the universe in all these senses.

3.'Ibadat also is used to convey three meanings: 1) Worship and devotion, 2) Submission and obedience, and 3) Subjection and servitude.

4. The answer to this Supplication of the servant is the whole Qur'an. The servant prays for his Lord's guidance and the Lord grants him the Qur'an in answer to his prayer.
