Facts on Jesus (PBUH) as stated in the Qur'an

His Birth and the Miracle of Speaking in the Cradle

"Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary(am) when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East. She placed a screen from them. Then We sent to her Our angel and he appeared before her as a man in all respects. She said: "I seek refuge from you to (God) Most Gracious: (come not near) if you do fear God." He said: "Nay I am only a messenger from your Lord (to announce) to you the gift of a righteous son." She said: "How shall I have a son seeing that no man has touched me and I am not unchaste?" He said: "So (it will be): your Lord says, "That is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us." It is a matter (so) decreed." (Qur'an 19:16-21)

"At length she brought the (babe) to her people carrying him (in her arms). They said: "O Mary! truly an amazing thing have you brought! "O sister of Aaron! your father was not a man of evil nor your mother a woman unchaste! But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a cchild in the cradle?" He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah: He has given me revelation and made me a prophet; And He has made me Blessed wheresoever I be and has enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live; (He) has made me kind to my mother and not overbearing or miserable; So Peace is on me that day I was born the day that I die and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again!)" Such (was) Jesus teh son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth about which they (vainly) dispute." (Qur'an 19:27-34)

Not the Son of God

"O people of the Book! commit no excesses in your religion: nor say of Allah (God) aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a Messenger of Allah (God) and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and Spirit proceeding from Him: so believe in Allah (God) and His Messengers. Say not "Trinity": desist: it will be better for you: for Allah (God) is One God: glory be to Him: (For Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah (God) as a Disposer of affairs." (Qur'an 4:171)

The Crucifixion & Ascension

"That they said (in boast) "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary the Messenger of God;" but they killed him not nor crucified him but so it was made to appear to them and those who differe therein are full of doubts with no (certain) knowledge but only conjecture to follow for of a surety they killed him not. Nay God raised him up unto Himsef; and God is Exalted in Power, Wise. And there is none of the People of the Book but must believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness against them." (Qur'an 4:157-159)

"Christ the son of Mary was no more than a Messenger; many were the Messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah does make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth! Say: Will ye worship besides Allah (God) something which has no power either to harm or benefit you? But Allah (God) He it is That hears and knows all things." (Qur'an 5:75-76)

On the Day of Judgment

"And behold! Allah (God) will say "O Jesus the son of Mary! did you say unto the people "worship me and my mother as gods in derogation of God?" He will say: "Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right (to say). Had I said such a thing you would indeed have known it. You know what is in my heart though I know not what is in Yours. For You know in full all that is hidden. Never said I to them aught except what you did command me to say to wit "Worship God my Lord and your Lord;" and I was a witness over them while I dwell amongst them; when you did take me up you were the Watcher over them and you are a Witness to all things. If you do punish them they are your servants: if you forgive them you are the Exalted, the Wise." (Qur'an 5:116-118)
