Ingush

The Ingush are a Sunni Muslim people numbering approximately 176,000 (1995 estimate of Ingush residents of Ingushetia proper), living in the North Caucasus. Ingushetia was formed in 19921after the breakup of the Chechen-Ingush republic, due to the Chechen drift for independence. In fact, their language is very close to Chechen. Inguxak Ipar Osetian

1944an Inguxak Kaukasotik egotzi ondoren, haiek nagusi ziren eskualde bat (Prigorodni) Ipar Osetian integratu zen. Eskialde horretan gerra labur bat izan zen 1992an. Ondorioz, Osetiatik egotzi zituzten 50.000 inguru ingux.

Ingush in North Ossetia

Till 1944 a region in North Ossetia (Prigorodny) was also Ingush territory, but after the punishment and exile in Central Asia ordered for the Ingush by Stalin, it was integrated in Ossetia. There was a war there in 1992 between Ingush and Ossetians, and as a result they expelled from there around 50,000 Ingush.
