Finding a New Job
You'll find a new job easily, so don't worry. You can surf the internet to find job advertisements. Dave's ESL Cafe is an excellent site for ESL job seekers. You can check the classified in the Korea Herald or the Korea Times. You can check the classifieds sections of publications that foreigners produce like THE EXIT in Pusan. You can also use Korea-based recruiters to help you find a job. It's not as risky as it is when you are in your home country because you can check out all potential employers yourself. Just don't work with any recruiters that require a fee from you. They should find you a job for free because the school you eventually sign with will pay the recruiters. I will be embarking on such a hunt myself in March, so I will keep this page updated as the search progresses to alert you of any dangers and to give you pointers. Another way to go is to pass out resumes or talk a Korean friend into helping you. Just go to the city you want, the area you want, and drop off a resume at any English institute you find. Even if a director has no openings, he might know of a school that does and direct you to it. Also, talk to the foreigners you know. They may know of a place that's hiring and can probably warn you off the bad jobs and point you to the good ones.
