The Bismark North Dakota Temple

of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints

The Bismark Temple serves an area that covers aproximately 200,000 square miles and is, as President Hinckley described it in the temple's dedecatory prayer, on the frontier of the Church. Despite the large area covered, there are only four stakes and one district served by this temple.

The temple was announced on 8 August 1998.
Ground was broken and construction begun on 17 October 1998.
The cornerstone was laid and the temple dedicated on 19 September 1999.
There are 2 Sealing rooms and 2 Ordinance rooms in the 10,352 square foot temple.
The spire is about 78 feet tall.
The Bismark Temple serves the Bismarck and Fargo North Dakota, and the Rapid City and Sioux Falls stakes and the Pierre District in South Dakota.
