Ground was broken and construction begun on 9 January 1979.
The cornerstone was laid in August 1981.
The temple was dedicated on 16-20 November 1981.
There are 17 Sealing rooms and 6 Ordinance rooms in the 153,641 square foot temple.
The spire is 139 feet tall.
