'Have you not ever read the definition of ‘abstract’? Let’s look at Webster’s New World Dictionary: ab-stract (ab-strakt’. ab’strakt). adj. 1. thought apart from any particular instances or material objects (including the brain)....'

I noticed that Howard put the "(including the brain)" statement in all by himself. But, unless I am wrong, the brain is the only thing that can create abstract thought. Thought itself does not live outside the brain... so I am a bit confused as to how he can insert "(including the brain)" into the definition."

I noticed this too. In fact, on top of that, Howard is consulting a source [a dictionary] which was produced by men, not by ‘god’. Furthermore, and more importantly in regard to our present discussion, Howard fails to explain how abstract thought is defined by his Bible. I have looked up the term in my concordance, but this source gives the word completely a miss. Strong’s jumps from ‘abroad’ to ‘Absalom’ - no mention of the word ‘abstract’. Hmmmm.....

OH! That’s right! I almost forgot! The Bible only ‘sets the parameters,’ it doesn’t need to quibble with the ‘specific details.’ How thoughtless of me!!
