My place...

In a very ancient and beautiful country named Portugal, which was formally founded in 1143.

In a nice little place 20 kilometers westwards from Lisbon, 1.5 kilometers away from a very pleasant beach facing south to the Atlantic Ocean.

This little town is Carcavelos. My place...

But there are other places, monuments, etc., not far from here, in Lisbon, such as the Tower of Belem

built in the 16th century to celebrate the discovery of the maritim pathway to India by Vasco da Gama, in 1498, or the Monument to the Discoveries,

built by 1960 to honour the Portuguese navigators who discovered many places all around the world.

One of the most beautiful squares in the whole world, Terreiro do Paço, considered the drawing-room of Lisbon, the capital of the country.
