Bethel 49 loves to have visitors at our regular stated meetings. If you know of a young girl between the ages of 10 - 20, please call for more information and a petition for Job's Dfaughters. We are always busy with fun activities, work activities, charity projects and traveling around the the state to other Bethels. Our organization's official charity project is H.I.K.E. (Hearing Impaired Kids Endowment) which raises money for kids who need hearing aids. Also this year two of the five ambassadors for the state of Illinois Job's Daughters are from Bethel 49. Angela Osborne is Miss Illinois Job's Daughter and Kimberly Revis is Honorary State Honored Queen. They will be traveling around the state this year visiting other Bethels and carrying out their projects. They both have joined together to raise money for the American Cancer Society through the Relay for Life. They are currently selling chances for a duck derby which will be held at the end of this Grand Gaurdian Council year in June. Each chance is $5 and you will get a duck and a number. At the actual duck derby all of the ducks will be numbered and put in a swimming pool. They will draw out 3 ducks and those three people get a prize. All of the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society so help these girls go out and buy a duck! See anybody from the Bethel about getting a duck. We have all been affected by cancer in some way or another and we are trying to do our part in fighting this horrible disease. Bethel 49 has been a participant in the Macon County Relay for Life the past 3 years and plans to continue until a cure has been found.
