Nile Cruise - the boat
It was a splendid boat as you can see here. Cabins with picture windows and balconies. Rather like the Mississipi paddle steamers. Lots of rich tourists, including us, protected from the demands for baksheesh and the "reality" of Egypt.
But Mum wouldn't complain. She came because she wanted a rest from other people. She said the boat reminded her of Agatha Christie novels because it was full of dark polished wood and brass. Nobody got murdered on the boat on this trip as far as I know.
