Pyramids - view over Giza
This photo looks back from the Pyramids to the suburb of Giza at the edge of Cairo. There's a lot of traffic in Cairo which gives off lots of fumes. This makes the atmosphere very hazy and that's why this picture appears a bit dark.
Giza reminded me of Oman with lots of small shops selling Arabian perfumes, food, household goods, cheap tourist souvenirs and, what I liked best of all, drinks of fresh mango juice. Mangoes are in season in Egypt in the summer and the mango juice stalls are piled high with fruit.
