OK, THE VACATION IS OVER...
BUT THERE IS MORE TO THE STORY THAT WILL NEVER END
Who ever thought? If someone had said that at our age we would find that special someone we'd have told them they were nuts! After all, life has had it's up and downs for both of us. We were long past really believing in Cupid, and just sharing enjoyable moments with each other was the best that we could hope for...Right?
Somehow things didn't work out that way. The spoof that started with "fire" became a real burning flame that just won't seem to go out. Probably cause neither of us ever really wants it to.
Few will ever find this...I'm sure you will come across it in time because you always search for the "hidden" whenever you look at a page, or a person, or another heart.
It's part of what you are and I've grown to love you so very deeply because of it. You never did try to conceal your feelings from me...except perhaps the last time we parted. At the time I truly misunderstood this, but now I know that you had to set the butterfly free and you didn't want to do that.
The months that have passed since then were very hard for me because I had to make the decision to fly on my own. Not because of you, but because of me.
So not unlike the wind, I don't have to go in any direction other than where I want to be. But there is a big difference, because now the little butterfly is an eagle.

Remember, I'm with you because I want to be. I've come to think of loving you as the greatest gift I have ever received!!
