Download the program from SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) that allows computer owners to monitor radio whispers from outer space, called the SETIhome project. It's a screen saver program. Everytime you log online, a batch of data from the Radio Telescope in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, is downloaded onto your computer, and when your computer goes into it's sleep mode, your computer searches through the data looking for interesting radio signals. The next time you log on onto the Internet, this data and the results are sent back to SETI Headquarters, and the a new batch of data is downloaded. The screen saver image of the SETI program will show the analysis under way, along with a map of the part of the sky being mapped.
