Ancestors of Louis Girard Pellerin:

The Marriage record of Gerard Pellerin and Francois Ruglan was recorded at St. Louis Cathedral on March 24, 1729, stated that Gerard was a native of Mezieres-sur-Meuse, Diocese of Reims (France), and was the magazine intendant at the general control of the province of Louisiana, trustee of the Parish of New Orleans and widower of Angelique Catherine La Cossier. Francois Ruglan at the time of her marriage to Gerard Pellerin was the widow of Raguet Damaron. The Soileau family of Louisiana are descendants of the Pellerin line, as Noel Soileu, the Soileau family patriarch, was the son of Elizabeth Soileau Pellerin of France. The Soileau family was from Mezieres in the province of Champage along the Northern French border. Soileau arrived from France into Louisiana with his uncle Gerard Pellerin in 1719. Soileau survived the Natchez massacre and was appointed quartermaster of the royal warehouse at Natchez Post after it was restored, according to the LSU publicaton, an atlas of Louisiana Surnames.
Children of Gerard Pellerin and Francois Ruglan include:
