Telescopes

If you do not yet have a telescope but are
thinking about getting one, I would reccomend
that you DO NOT get one before doing some
research on telescopes. Read chapter 5 in
the book "Night Watch"for a pretty good
understanding of telescopes.There is
also a good book on this matter,
"THE BACKYARD ASTRONOMER'S GUIDE"
by Terence Dickinson and Alen Dyer.
This book gives you an indepth look on
telescopes, telescope comparisons, binoculers,
tips for observing, some advice on astro-
photography, and a few other things. Its a very
good book that sells for about $40. Also read
a few Astronomy and Sky and Telescope
magazines. Then make your choice on which tele-
scope to bye. It will save you
alot of frustration in the long run.
