You are standing over the trap door. You move slightly to
make it accessable. Then in one motion you open it up and
push Mary inside, you then go in after her and shut the door
tight. Phew, you made it! Those vampires won't be able to
get you now. You are safe. The vampires, who have now seen
defeat, retreat. Just to be safe you and Mary wait till morning.
Morning comes and you go to the door. You push on it
to open it. It doesn't budge. You try again. Still nothing.
"This is odd," you say and push on it again, "It won't open."
You rest a minute and try to think of a way to get it open. Then
you remember something. The realization you make puts
a stream of fear straight into your heart. You remember now
what happened to the owner of this cabin before you moved here.
He came down here and the trap door shut behind him. He
couldn't open it back up. It locks
automatically when shut and you can only open it from the outside! He committed suicide by
stabbing himself with his knife! It looks as if you are in
his same situation. Maybe Jim will find you, if Nick or
this other vampire don't find him first. Therin lies a
slight bit of hope......
