Susie from The Upstairs Room came in third by finding 7 clues! She didn't solve
the mystery either! Good job!
The contest information will remain, so you can check it out if you
want. If you are curious as to how it all fell into place, then check
out the answer
page.
Poor Kissifurette has been murdered. Her body was found on a
homepage. She had been poisoned! Kissifur is expieriencing
terrible pain over the loss of his love. It will take him a long
time to get over her. He has hired you to solve her
murder and determine where the murder occured.
Your willingness to help may let Kissifurette rest in peace!
Kissifur wants only the best on the case, so if you make more
than two wrong accuasations, then you are out of the contest!
The contest will last as long as the case remains unsolved.
And no, you don't call Unsolved Mysteries if you
figure it out. You e-mail me! Below is a list
of suspects in this case.
It is your job to solve the crime! If you are successful, then
you will recieve some reward prizes! However, the identity
of these prizes will remain a mystery until the winner
is announced! Be sure to get familiar with the homepages
belonging to each suspect as the more you know about them, the
better chance you have of putting the pieces together.
You must go from one homepage to the next(not
the same pages as the ones above, mind you), collecting clues
about the suspects. (relationship to Kissifurette, motives
for murder, etc.) You must keep track of every clue you
find, whatever method you want to use to keep track is up
to you.
The clues will not be numbered because I don't
want the people holding the clues to know thier position in the
contest.(I guess I am just
mysterious) However, you should keep track of which
clue is which and the order in which you found them.
In other words, number your clues as you find them.
Once you recieve a certain amount of clues, you should be able to put the mystery together and put the
guilty party in prison.(Also
a goodie of mine that will remain
a mystery until the case is solved.) Justice will be served!
If you got to this page becuase you clicked on the "help kissifur" graphic
from another homepage or guestbook, I would advise starting
at the beggining becuase starting somewhere else may throw
you off, it would be easier for you to do it this way.
The "help kissifur" graphic is on the mainpage
of the homepages involved. The "mystery clue" graphic
will be placed somewhere in thier site. Once you find
this graphic, you will find the clue! Some pages
will link the graphic to a seperate page, others will
have the clues below the graphic or surrounding the graphic.
As a matter of fact, the graphic below will link you to the first
clue.
Each clue page will have two clues. The first clue, in color
red, is a clue to the mystery. The second clue, in color blue,
is a clue which will lead you to the next page. Move as
quickly as you can from page to page collecting your clues
and try to solve the case! Visit the pages belonging to the
suspects as well. The clues may have essiential ideas pertaining
to thier pages.
There are some important things to note:
Some of my blue clues may be deceptive. There could be purposeful misspellings
to throw you off!!!
The suspects as well as those holding
clues have been given permission to participate in the
contest. This means that I and only I know
which suspect is guilty and which homepage the murder took
place. I will tell you that the murder did not take place
on any of the suspect pages and none of the suspects
hold clues to the mystery.
You can feel free to
sign guestbooks along the way and of course the guestbooks
at the suspect pages, they also will have the "help kissifur" graphic
posted on thier main page. It is a given that you will
make wrong turns. Sign guestbooks at pages where you made
a wrong turn if you want. Maybe someone else made the
same wrong turn as you!
As you go along collecting clues
to the mystery, some of them might seem shocking to
people, especially the suspects, don't worry, it is all
in fun, none are to be taken serious!
Some of the blue clues are easy, especially the beggining ones,
and some are hard. There are a few that I think
are particularly hard. If you find a blue clue and
you are stuck, then it "could" be subject
to an extra hint. That is, if I feel the clue deserves
an extra hint. And for those wise crackers out there,
please don't e-mail me every chance you get about every
clue. Be honest and use this oppurtunity only when you
are truely stuck.
If you find the "help kissifur" graphic on someone's page, note the URL
and know that the clue must be within that URL. For example,
if someone has a link to infoseek, you don't need to
check it, for it isn't within thier page.
