Give us today our daily dose

....... of grammar

It's really incredible how this exercise can change your English in one month. The idea is to create a blueprint of the verb tense system in your head. It works with key words. You should change the sentence, which you can make up, according to the given time words.

E.g. Gary (to work) here.

Everyday Gary works here everyday.
Now Gary is working here now.
For two years Gary has worked here for two years.
For two years now Gary has been working here for two years now.
Yesterday Gary worked here yesterday.
Yesterday at 3 o'clock Gary was working here at 3 o'clock yesterday.
Before I met him Gary had worked here before I met him.
For two years when I met him Gary had been working here for two years when I met him.
If he has time Gary will work here if he has time.
Tomorrow at 3 o'clock Gary will be working here tomorrow at 3 o'clock.
Before he goes to England Gary will have worked here before he goes to England.
For two years before he goes to England Gary will have been working here for two years before he goes to England.
If he had time Gary would work here if he had time.
If he had time now Gary would be working here if he had time now.
If he had had time Gary would have worked here if he had had time.
For two years if he had gone on Gary would have been working here for two years if he had gone on.
Possibility Gary can work here.
Permission Gary may work here.
Desirability Gary should work here.
Moral Desirability Gary ought to work here.
Necessity Gary has to work here.
Strong Necessity Gary must work here.
Discontinued Habit Gary used to work here.

Can you guess how I organized these blocks??
