Demonstrative adjectives are the only adjectives that agree with their nouns (but only in number).

USE:
a) Demonstratives can be adjectives or pronouns.
These
men live on the top of that hill. (adjectives)
That woman bought those flowers. (adjectives)
What are those? They are melons. (pronoun)
What is that? It is a pencil. (pronoun)
These are my sisters. (pronoun)
b) When
there is some idea of comparison or selection,
the pronoun ONE - ONES is generally placed after
the demonstratives, especially when the demonstrative is followed
by an adjective:
Do you
like these green apples? No, I like those
red ones.
Don't sell these books. Sell those (ones).
You carry those heavy cases; I'll carry these
light ones.
This house is not comfortable. I prefer that
(one).
