Tom
Zenk vs Ric Flair
championship
match
In early 1990
Tom Zenk, newly arrived in the NWA, had achieved high level rating
as both a singles and tag wrestler (teaming with Brian Pillman). While
Pillman was being pushed as Flair's protege - Zenk was doing it the hard
way. In this match, Zenk, with the crowd firmly behind him, out-performs
a lack-luster Flair. Flair reverts to illegal tactics to win. This is the
one of only two matches Flair ever gave Zenk in his 5 years at WCW. Wonder
why?
