NWA Television title match -

Horsemen ambush Z-Man

  PART 1

This match, from Cobb County Civic Center and broadcast on TBS, was part of Tom Zenk's campaign for the NWA world television title - a title he eventually won from Anderson, on December 4 1990, in Atlanta, GA - see Gallery 1.7 and Gallery 1.8.

"I had some shots at Anderson before, and he always found a way to win. Sometimes he'd use foreign objects. Other times he'd have Ric Flair or Barry Windham stationed at ringside in case he got into trouble.... "

Anderson begins the match, shoving and face-slapping. Zenk returns the slaps with such intensity that Anderson is knocked to the ground.
Zenk continues to dominate the champion, nearly pinning Anderson inside the first minute.
Zenk then goes to work on Anderson's right leg - first with a leg lock then with some help from the ring post.
