In early 1990 Tom Zenk, newly arrived in the NWA, had achieved high level rating as both a singles and tag wrestler (teaming with Brian Pillman). While Pillman was being pushed as Flair's protege - Zenk was doing it the hard way. In this match, Zenk, with the crowd firmly behind him, out- performs a lack-lustre Flair. Flair reverts to illegal tactics to win. This is one of only 2 matches Flair ever gave Zenk in his 5 years at WCW. Wonder why? |
