Lyle Alzado
N.F.L. All-Pro defensive end
An All-Pro and twice played in the Super Bowl in a fifteen year career with the Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns and Los Angeles Raiders, Alzado died for brain cancer in 1992 at the age of 43. Alzado, in his final days, attributed his cancer to a career of anabolic steroid abuse.
